A national engineering firm is seeking an Environmental Engineer specializing in wastewater treatment in Salt Lake City. Overview

Environmental Engineer - Wastewater

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Schedule: Full time - Year round
Travel: Roughly 30%

Currently seeking individuals to fill the position as an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems Environmental Engineer. Individuals with experience with wastewater systems are strongly urged to apply.

National engineering firm which offers complete planning, process engineering, facility development, and construction management services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, piping and sewer design, and equipment lists.
  • Perform water and mass balance calculations.
  • Develop project schedules and manage budgets.
  • Specify and procure equipment; develop RFQs.
  • Oversee installation and system startup.
  • Obtain and evaluate site-specific permits, including industrial-user wastewater discharge permits, air permits, SPCC permits, and wastewater characterization and data analysis.
  • Coordinate permit evaluations and scheduling with site requirements.
  • Understand and apply permit-related requirements for wastewater and industrial processes.
  • Engage with project teams to ensure compliance and successful system operation.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Technical writing ability.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering (candidates without this degree will NOT be considered).
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in a similar field or internship required.

Preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
