Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Brandenburg is seeking qualified candidates for a summer Environmental Engineer Internship beginning May 2027. Interns will gain hands-on experience across the Environmental Department in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting water treatment operations
• Working with Baghouse systems
• Assisting with stormwater management
• Contributing to sustainability projects
• Supporting the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Troubleshooting water chemistry projects
• Air emission management projects
• Pollution control device management
• Collaborating with teammates throughout the Environmental Department

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsoremployment visas now or in the future. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry,Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.75

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship experience
