Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber seeks an Environmental Engineer, Chemical Engineer, or Scientist to join our Environmental Health & Safety team in Michigan, focusing on environmental compliance and sustainable solutions for industrial clients.

Responsibilities include preparing water permits, developing SPCC/SWPPP, inspections, reporting, and assisting clients in achieving sustainability goals with on-site support and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of environmental compliance experience.
• Experience with hazardous waste management and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for proposals and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit water-related permits (Groundwater Discharge, NPDES, Soil Erosion, Part 22).
• Develop environmental plans (SPCC, PIPP, HWCP, SWPPP) and manage inspections and storm-water sampling.
• Maintain compliance records and reporting for environmental permits.
• Conduct compliance audits and recommend corrective actions and prepare reports.
• Perform air emission inventories, compliance reviews, and GHG calculations.
• Assist clients in achieving sustainability goals such as zero waste to landfill.
• Provide on-site regulatory assistance at industrial facilities.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships.
