Job summary

Qcells North America in Cartersville, GA is seeking an Environmental Engineer to help the plant meet federal and state environmental and safety regulations and internal EHS policies. You will work on air, water, and waste projects, support ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications, and participate in third-party audits during a new plant design, build, and startup.

The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Science with 5+ years of regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Science.
• Minimum 5 years of environmental compliance experience.
• Experience writing environmental reports (Air, SARA Tier II/TRI).
• Experience with SWPPP and SPCC plans.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing air emissions, wastewater discharge, and solid/hazardous waste management; resolve environmental issues related to water, air, and waste regulations as they arise.
• Develop air emission estimates for industrial processes and related operations, and prepare air, water, and waste permit applications.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SWPPP and SPCC Plans; prepare Tier II Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory reports and TRI reports.
• Generate, prepare, and draft environmental reports, including engineering calculations and supporting documentation necessary for regulatory compliance.
• Conduct inspections of plant facilities to assess operational effectiveness and ensure compliance with environmental regulations across air, water, and waste programs.
