Job summary

Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Waukesha, WI seeks an Environmental Engineer to lead air compliance initiatives across multiple facilities. You will serve as a technical advisor to plant leadership and help maintain full environmental compliance under Clean Air Act and state regs.

With 3+ years in manufacturing environmental compliance, you will manage Title V permits, emissions inventories, reporting, and regulatory submissions while driving continuous improvement and sharing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in environmental compliance within manufacturing.
• Experience managing air permitting and regulatory programs.
• Knowledge of Title V, MACT/NESHAP, NSPS, and Clean Air Act.
• EPA/state agency experience.
• Strong PM and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 20–30%.
• PE, CHMM or related certification preferred.
• Emissions inventories and stack testing experience preferred.

Silgan is hiring an Environmental Engineer to work in our brand-new office in Waukesha, WI.

Join a team where your expertise in air compliance and environmental engineering directly impacts manufacturing operations, regulatory compliance, and environmental performance across our national manufacturing network.

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer who enjoys solving complex environmental challenges and leading regulatory initiatives. While this position supports all environmental programs, its primary focus is air compliance, including permitting, emissions reporting, regulatory strategy, and continuous improvement of environmental performance across multiple facilities.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to plant leadership, a subject matter expert on air regulations, and a key resource in helping our manufacturing facilities maintain full environmental compliance.

What You Will Do

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing
• Demonstrated experience managing air permitting and regulatory compliance programs
• Strong knowledge of Title V permitting, emissions inventories, Clean Air Act regulations, MACT/NESHAP, and NSPS requirements
• Experience working with EPA and state environmental agencies
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Ability to travel 20-30%
• PE, CHMM, or related certification preferred
• Experience with emissions inventories, stack testing, and environmental management systems preferred
