Role Description

The Environmental Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Quantico, VA. This role is responsible for assessing environmental impacts of logistics and supply chain operations, supporting compliance with applicable environmental regulations and policies, and developing practical mitigation strategies. Day-to-day tasks include performing environmental impact assessments, reviewing and improving wastewater treatment and waste management practices, and preparing technical reports, plans, and recommendations. The Environmental Engineer will collaborate with internal teams, government stakeholders, and consulting partners to ensure environmentally responsible solutions are integrated into projects and operational processes. The role also involves monitoring environmental performance, contributing to sustainability initiatives, and providing technical guidance on environmental best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Environmental Compliance and Environmental Consulting to interpret regulations, advise stakeholders, and support implementation of compliant solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Environmental Impact Assessment to evaluate project effects, develop mitigation measures, and prepare clear, data-driven documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering
• 3 years experience in NEPA
• Experience working with or supporting government, defense, or large infrastructure projects is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work on-site in Quantico, VA, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PE license, environmental certifications) are a plus.
