Job description

Production Technologies keeps a small, opinionated engineering team in Metairie, and the next opinion we need belongs to an Environmental Engineer. The junior Environmental Engineer role rewards range — Django, GitLab CI, 1 years — with $58,000 - $87,000 and a seat that grows beyond it.

Key Responsibilities

• Wrangle Next.js config across environments so Metairie staging mirrors production
• Mentor newer junior hires on how Production Technologies actually wires Emotional Intelligence together
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows using GitLab CI
• Question the flexible Python pattern everyone copied and propose something cleaner
• Investigate, diagnose, and fix bugs reported by users and monitoring tools
• Translate AWS metrics into the one chart Production Technologies leadership checks each morning
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong code-review culture
• Ship incremental improvements to Production Technologies's Metairie platform on a regular cadence

What You'll Bring

• 1 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it
• Fluency in Emotional Intelligence earned the hard way, not just from a tutorial
• The self-awareness to know which problems are yours to solve
• Calm under the wildly-collaborative chaos a junior role tends to generate
• The communication discipline to over-share early and trim later

The growth-minded team behind Production Technologies chose Metairie on purpose, betting that great technology work doesn't need a coastal zip code. Candid, kind feedback is part of the job, and we coach toward growth rather than blame.

Expect $58,000 - $87,000, yes, but also expect the kind of benefits and remote flexibility that make Mondays in Metairie feel lighter.
