Job summary

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) seeks an Attorney II for an enforcement role in the Litigation Division, Office of Legal Services. You will represent the Executive Director at hearings, negotiate orders, and prepare cases for contested proceedings.

Qualifications

• Admission to the Texas Bar and three years of full-time legal practice.
• Experience in environmental law or related regulatory enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Executive Director at contested hearings and agency proceedings.
• Negotiate agreements and orders.
• Assist in preparing cases for hearings or court trials.
• Advise staff on legal matters related to investigations and enforcement.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions and briefs for complex matters.
