Job summary

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Environmental Designer translates the Creative Director's vision into compelling environmental concepts that shape the guest experience across trade shows, special events, brand activations, and temporary or permanent installations.

Working closely with creative directors, designers, producers, and technical partners, the Environmental Designer develops layouts, renderings, visualizations, ground plans, and presentation-quality materials that communicate and support the Creative Director's vision. This role helps translate approved concepts into visual environmental solutions while partnering with technical and production teams to ensure designs are clear, buildable, and aligned with project goals, timelines, and budget parameters.

Position Requirements

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in environmental design (interior design, event design, industrial design, etc.), communication design, or visual arts or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum four years of design experience in event design, environmental or experiential marketing.
• Exceptional visual command and computer skills.
• Understanding of design, layout, and scale.
• Ability to communicate creative ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to shape creative concepts to suit client and situational needs.
• Strong proficiency preferred in Vectorworks or relevant experience in AutoCAD (a plus).
• Strong proficiency preferred in 3D modeling programs such as C4D or TwinMotion.
• Strategic, collaborative, and eager to roll up your sleeves to support projects quickly and proficiently on tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Adobe Cloud Creative Suite (or equivalent).
• Strong writing skills are a huge plus.
• Must provide a visual portfolio of experiences.
• An understanding of the importance of active listening in the role.
