Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE) seeks a Department Manager for Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte area. You will lead department staff, manage P&L, and build client relationships while advancing BLE's environmental practice.

The role requires a senior environmental professional with strong leadership, project oversight, and business development capabilities to drive profitability and technical excellence across multiple sites and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field is required.
• PE or PG registration strongly preferred; other environmental certifications encouraged.
• 8+ years of progressive environmental consulting experience including leadership and business development.
• Established relationships in the Charlotte metro area preferred.
• Experience with Phase I/Phase II environmental site assessments and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services Department in the Charlotte area.
• Drive business development, client relationships, and market expansion for BLE's environmental practice.
• Manage department staff, budgets, profitability, and technical risk.
• Provide technical leadership, QA/QC, and coaching to staff.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership and external clients to support growth and client satisfaction.
• Lead pursuit efforts, proposals, and contract negotiations for major opportunities.
