Qualifications

• Must be local to the greater Pittsburgh area or willing to relocate immediately to the area without assistance.
• Must be fully authorized to work in the US without restriction.

Responsibilities

• May calculate air emissions, determine required control technologies, and document process information per regulations.
• Remain current regarding the latest developments in air pollution control and water technologies.
• Assemble permit applications, permit amendments, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submittal to state regulatory agencies.
• Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients.

About the Role

Using fundamental technical skills, analytical abilities, and up-to-date regulatory knowledge, provide complete customer oriented, air quality, water, and waste permitting, and compliance solutions, to assist clients in areas of permitting and regulatory compliance. This position is a contract or contract-to-hire position that Trinity's staffing business line is conducting the search in partnership with our industry client in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Only candidates with proficiency NPDES permitting and Hazardous Waste (RCRA) Program Management will be considered for this position.

Technical Responsibilities

• May calculate air emissions, determine required control technologies, and document process information to ensure client operations, and work practices are in accordance with all applicable regulations.
• Remain current regarding the latest developments in air pollution control and water technologies.

Regulatory Knowledge

• Assemble permit applications, permit amendment applications, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submittal to state regulatory agencies for industrial clients.
• Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients solicit new project work as appropriate; communicate results of analyses internally and externally in verbal and written form.
• Update client information in the internal database in a timely manner.

Required Skills

(B. S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering, and/or related Atmospheric/Environmental Science from four-year college or university.
