Job summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support environmental compliance for Power and Energy projects across the United States. You will work with the construction team to manage, coordinate and implement project-wide environmental compliance programs and strategies.

You will ensure field activities align with federal, state and local regulations, conduct inspections, prepare reports, and assist with permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health, environmental engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in environmental compliance for major construction projects is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and relocate.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-wide environmental compliance programs and strategies.
• Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks.
• Identify applicable federal, state and local requirements and permits.
• Review environmental specs and drawings.
• Prepare site environmental plans and reports.
• Develop a compliance tracking matrix for requirements.
• Contribute to work plans and meetings.
• Develop and conduct training on environmental protection.
• Communicate environmental requirements to field crews.
• Perform field inspections and monitoring (water, waste, noise, etc.).
• Document, report and correct environmental incidents.
• Liaise with agencies and attend field visits.
• Identify materials and vendors to support environmental needs.
