Job summary

PROtect is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance programs at large industrial facilities, including refineries, chemical plants, and oil & gas operations. This role focuses on helping clients maintain compliance with environmental regulations while developing practical solutions that improve operational performance.

During training you will work alongside field teams to gain hands-on experience with emissions monitoring, LDAR, BWON, and permit interpretations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Master's degree preferred in chemical or environmental engineering.
• Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve environmental compliance processes for refinery and industrial operations.
• Interpret and apply environmental permits and regulations.
• Perform emissions calculations for permits and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain environmental records and compliance documentation.
• Support coordination with regulatory agencies and clients.
• Assist with implementation of new environmental regulations.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
• Identify opportunities for environmental performance improvements.
• Monitor emerging regulations and assess business impact.
• Manage multiple projects with varying timelines.
• Develop technical expertise across environmental programs.
