Job summary

SevenGen is seeking an Environmental Consultant to advance air permitting, audits, and training across client sites in the region. The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge, strong communication, and a client-first approach.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in environmental compliance or consulting and a degree in Environmental Science or Engineering. Indiana-based license experience (Wastewater or Asbestos) is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete environmental compliance audits and navigate audits with regulatory awareness.
• Experience presenting training on environmental topics (RCRA, DOT HAZMAT, HAZWOPER).
• Strong written reporting skills for technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Complete compliance audits and prepare air permit applications, stormwater plans, SPCCs, and waste documentation.
• Lead environmental training sessions (RCRA, DOT HAZMAT, HAZWOPER) for clients and internal teams.
• Apply knowledge of federal and state regs to help clients navigate audits and avoid risk.
• Write technical reports that are sharp, clear, and actionable.
• Deliver exceptional service by anticipating client needs, staying responsive, and offering solutions.
• Travel up to 50% to client sites across the region.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete compliance audits and prepare air permit applications, stormwater plans, SPCCs, and waste documentation.

What You Bring:

• 3–5 years of environmental compliance or consulting experience.
• Direct experience in air permitting.
• Experience delivering training on RCRA, HAZWOPER, and DOT.
• A strong understanding of stormwater, SPCC, and hazardous waste compliance.
• Confidence in front of a room — and comfort talking to everyone from operators to execs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Wastewater Operator license (Indiana) or Asbestos Inspector license are preferred, but not required
