Job summary

Weaver Consultants Group seeks a Staff Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to contribute to environmental and civil engineering efforts, including design, installation, monitoring, and regulatory compliance for landfills and transfer stations.

This role involves fieldwork, travel (including overnights), and collaboration with senior staff. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and MS Word/Excel is required; EIT is preferred to support project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 0–3 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; EIT certification preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel and a valid driver's license.
• Advanced experience in AutoCAD/Civil3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of engineering plans including grading, drainage, utilities, force mains, leachate collection systems, landfill gas collection systems, landfill cell construction, infrastructure construction, storm water management and erosion and sediment control.
• Solid waste engineering design and permitting (landfills, transfer stations and recycling facilities).
• Preparing technical reports such as operating plans, CQA reports, and permit applications.
• Collecting air and water monitoring samples; Analyzing technical data.
• Effective communication with colleagues and superiors; Use of AutoCAD for project design; Construction observation and documentation; Support senior staff; Overtime may be required.
