Job summary

Accela Healthcare Center at Manalapan in Manalapan, NJ is hiring Environmental Aides to join our Environmental Services team. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with weekend availability required for full-time positions.

You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. As an Environmental Aide, you will clean and sanitize rooms and common areas, replenish supplies, and follow infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Environmental Aide or in housekeeping within a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, healthcare, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas according to facility standards.
• Replenish paper products, soap, and other environmental services supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash and soiled linens following infection control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and facility infection prevention guidelines.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards promptly.
• Provide courteous and professional service to residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
