Job summary

Precision Environmental is seeking an Environmental Abatement Estimator to develop construction and mitigation estimates and manage large, multi‑site projects. The role requires strong experience in estimating, billing, and marketing services to generate new business.

The position emphasizes safety, leadership, and effective communication with adjusters, clients, and crews, with a willingness to travel and extend hours as needed. Riverside County based, full‑time.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Proven experience managing large projects in commercial mitigation and construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction estimating.
  • Well versed in time & material billing concepts.
  • Experience marketing services to generate new or existing business.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic safety standards and work practices.
  • Experience leading crews, delegating tasks, and communicating effectively at all levels; strong leadership skills.
  • Industry-related certification (desirable).
  • Completion of, or enrollment in, IICRC training.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to generate reports using Microsoft Suite products; Xactimate proficiency required.
  • Understanding of cost containment and risk management basics.
  • Good judgment in making important decisions under pressure.
  • Experience in effective communications, coaching, and training.
  • Occasional travel outside of the assigned region.
  • Extended work hours, including weekends—must be available after hours and on weekends.
  • Occasional wearing of PPE depending on the job.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Daily commuting to office and job sites.
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Maneuvering through construction sites.
  • Ability to climb, bend, squat, crawl, lift, reach, twist, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple large-scope projects simultaneously, from initiation to completion.
  • Develops estimates for construction and mitigation projects.
  • Reviews and approves time and material billing, ensuring all billable costs are captured.
  • Maintains business contacts and/or sources new business to generate new work.
  • Prepares work orders for scheduling, ensuring accuracy and detail; disseminates to responsible parties.
  • Conducts thorough inspections of jobs and recommends additional work to adjusters or clients.
  • Tracks project plans and makes adjustments, as needed, to stay on schedule and meet contract deadlines.
  • Collects and reviews all documents and work orders to ensure customer invoices are sent promptly.
  • Communicates frequently and effectively with adjusters, customers, co‑workers, and contractors.
  • Markets company services to adjusters and potential clients.
  • Collaborates with Account Executives to prepare bids for adjusters or customers.
  • Performs loss‑site inspections to determine damages and prepare bids.
  • Supports the company’s safe workplace policies and practices, promoting adherence.
