Job summary

Tension Corporation in King of Prussia, PA is seeking an Envelope Packer/Quality Operator to support envelope manufacturing. You will inspect the quality of envelopes and pack finished products, assisting with machine setup and cleanup.

The role requires reading and following simple instructions, basic math, and the ability to stand for long shifts on a rotating 12-hour schedule; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; three months manufacturing experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read a ruler.

Responsibilities

• Checks production jacket and copy with envelopes being folded to confirm they are the same, places an approved sample on the machine.
• Checks the work of the previous shift for quality and correct packing.
• Checks boxes and cartons on the skid. Informs Lead Operator or Supervisor immediately if count does not comply with count on folding record.
• May jog, fan and feed die cut blanks into a machine. Checks for missing or bad printing on printed stock.
