Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti in the Northeast Building Envelope team is seeking a Project Engineer to lead investigations, restoration design, and forensics for existing and new facades.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, conservators, labs and contractors; require 5+ years of experience, knowledge of roofing, glazing, and cladding; travel to job sites in MA, NH, ME and the greater Northeast; and contribute to a collaborative, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering; master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in building envelope projects.
• Professional licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage building envelope consulting projects and client communication.
• Perform condition assessments, testing programs, reports, and repair design strategies.
• Prepare design drawings and specifications; provide construction phase services.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, conservators, labs, owners and contractors.
• Collaborate with TT’s other disciplines and offices across the US and Canada.
• Interpret codes and project specifications; support leadership communications.
