Responsibilities

• Perform setup on envelope machines in a timely manner and inspect for preventive maintenance.
• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and make minor adjustments to ensure quality and dimensions of pieces.
• Execute cutting and folding operations as required by the production line.
• Gather finished work and pack it for shipment or transfer.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and comply with safety rules.
• Support other departments as needed to achieve production goals.

SUMMARY

Responsible for the setup, mechanical troubleshooting, minor repair and operation of envelope machines. Perform setups, mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs across pieces several pieces of equipment that other operators are running.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform setup on machines in a timely manner. Clean machine prior to setup and inspect the machine as a preventive maintenance measure. Review and interpret recap instructions.


• Perform mechanical troubleshooting on machines and make minor adjustments/ corrections to ensure dimensions and quality of piece; monitor production.


• Perform cutting operations; make any necessary adjustments.


• Perform folder operations and operate folder.


• Hand-gather finished work and pack as necessary.
  


• Perform other department operations as required.


• Keep immediate work area neat and orderly.


• Comply with company rules and regulations.


• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.


• Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.


• Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.


• Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED.
