Job summary

Cordoba Corporation, a California-based engineering firm, is seeking an Associate Engineer in its Transportation Sector in Sacramento. You will provide entry-level engineering support, use CAD tools to prepare track charts and drawings, and help maintain project documentation under supervision.

Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with design teams, surveyors, and field staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 1 year of relevant engineering/drafting experience, or 5 years if no degree.
• Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• MS Office proficiency and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Assist with maintenance, drafting, and construction support for transportation projects.
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy under senior staff guidance.
• Incorporate redlines and manage drawing files per project standards.
• Support field staff with sketches, as-built docs, and exhibits.
