Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an entry-level Recip Technician to operate, monitor, and maintain gas reciprocating engine packages used in power generation. The role involves inspections, preventive maintenance, and routine upkeep to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The position features a 28‑days‑on / 28‑days‑off rotation with extended shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel is frequent, and candidates must be able to work in various environments and follow HSE

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in power generation, reciprocating engines, electrical systems, or related mechanical equipment.
• Able to read and interpret basic electrical, control, and mechanical schematics and service manuals.
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures, diagnostic tools, and maintenance documentation.
• Comfortable with customer interaction, call-outs, and working independently with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain gas reciprocating engine power generation packages and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine corrective maintenance on reciprocating generators and equipment.
• Monitor control panels, gauges, alarms, and instrumentation to ensure assets operate within parameters.
• Diagnose issues using standard diagnostics, SOPs, and available software tools.
• Maintain accurate logs and service reports of inspections and parts usage.
