Job summary

Arcadis, Plantation, FL, is seeking an Entry-Level Water Engineer to join our team and help design, evaluate, and manage water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. The role emphasizes fieldwork, data analysis, and sustainable infrastructure planning.

You will contribute to green infrastructure, asset management, and resilience initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in CAD, GIS, BIM, and data-driven reporting. Some travel to remote sites is expected, with a ~75% office and 25% field split.

We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities:As a Water Engineer, you will have the opportunity to evaluate, plan, design and support the management of projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance including pipelines and pumping facilities.In addition to traditional engineering solutions, you will need to be involved with identifying and advancing green infrastructure and other nature-based solutions to address stormwater quality and quantity. You role will also include assessing, developing, and supporting the management of sustainability and resilience projects.As an Entry-Level Water Engineer you will have the chance to exercise judgement on the details of your work and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. This position will offer valuable hands on experience in the field of water engineering, allowing you to develop your skills and contribute to meaningful projects.In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, you will also be accountable for:Performing fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring set-up and monitoring, and technology evaluations.Supporting Asset Management projects performing data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments and overall performance evaluations of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities.Preparing reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings.Using digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Geographic Information System (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality, as well as designing and managing databases and cloud-based computing servicesThis role may include local and regional travel. The ideal candidate should have unrestricted availability to travel as needed and enthusiasm for on-site field work at construction sites.
