Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim, tops, and reshape trees to clear utility powerlines. The role requires operating and maintaining equipment, loading debris, and coordinating with customers and safety crews in outdoor settings.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with union-related pay scales and available benefits per tenure and location. Applicants must be at least 18, possess a driver's license, and be prepared for physically demanding outdoor work.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, at various heights, on uneven surfaces in demanding weather.
• Able to lift and carry items and operate tools/work equipment.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/ or removes trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools and equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris; loads/unloads trucks.
• Loads brush into woodchipper and keeps work area clean.
• Relays signals, directs traffic, and collaborates with customers and responders.
• Performs routine maintenance and safety checks on tools and vehicles.
• Trains new employees and ensures safe work practices.
