Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags. The role offers on-the-job training and 100% paid training to help you succeed, with outdoors work in all weather and independent problem solving.

You will use a laptop to manage tickets, read maps and blueprints, and locate utilities accurately. A valid driver license, ability to walk long distances, and a safety-first mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Entry into locating utilities with on-the-job training.
• Must be able to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times weekly.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Background and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First in all tasks.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, determine locating methods and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers and homeowners.
