Job summary

Black Hills Trucking LLC in Dickinson, ND is seeking a Full Time Regular Manual Labor role to inspect, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

You will work with other technicians, cross-train as needed, and report major problems to supervisors. A high school diploma or equivalent, own tools, and a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR are required. Benefits include health coverage and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education with zero to two years of mechanical experience or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to provide own tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, and maintains trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Works with other technicians and cross-trains as necessary to keep trucks and trailers in continuous operation.
• Observes and listens to defective equipment to determine cause of trouble or nature and extent of equipment damage; reports major problems to supervisor and repairs, overhauls, or replaces parts as directed.
• Inspects trucks, equipment, and machinery to diagnose defects and verify repairs.
• Mixes, utilizes, dispenses, and/or properly disposes of volatile compounds including fuels, lubricants, and solvents; reads MSDS and handles/disposes of substances accordingly.
• Keeps work area clean by sweeping and storing tools and supplies.
• May operate small vehicles on and off company premises.
