The Mannik & Smith Group (MSG) is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join our Detroit team (also open to Monroe, MI). You will work on real roadway projects in a hands-on environment, collaborating with senior engineers who help you build your career.

A guaranteed seat in Blueprint, our early career leadership program, supports professional growth over six months with case studies and simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• FE Exam preferred for additional qualification.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer is desired.
• Familiarity with MDOT Design Standards.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and eagerness to grow technically and in project management.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and develop transportation infrastructure in a 3D environment.
• Perform and review design calculations for accuracy and code compliance.
• Work with roadway geometry, drainage, grading, and plan preparation.
• Involve in feasibility studies, permitting, and cost estimating.
