Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced transmission-grid engineering professional to support final commissioning, verification, and compliance with NERC standards. You will review outages, align as-built conditions with drawings, and lead engineering activities across projects while managing budgets and reporting to management and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required
• Alternative path: non-ABET engineering degree + Master or PhD from ABET program
• Engineering Technology degree plus Professional Engineer license
• PE from Puerto Rico must align with NCEES standards
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam encouraged and preferred

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with NERC and industry standards for transmission-grid configuration changes
• Provide engineering support during commissioning and verification of planned/unplanned grid work
• Review outages for applicable configuration changes
• Review drawings to align systems of record with as-built conditions
• Lead and coordinate engineering work activities and meetings
• Develop plans, goals, objectives, and requirements
• Coordinate project budgets and cost inputs
• Prepare and review technical reports for management and regulatory bodies
