Massanutten Military Academy - Salem, OR - JOB DESCRIPTION

Massanutten Military Academy is seeking an Entry Level Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of at least two languages, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a part-time/full-time remote role for a freelance translator. The Freelance Translator will be responsible for translating documents and communications between English and one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Italian. The translator will also be expected to proofread and edit translations if necessary. Experience in the military is an added advantage, as this is a military school.

Responsibilities:

• Translate a variety of documents from one language to another, maintaining the content, context, and tone of the original text.
• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and fluency.
