Mgs-Incorporated in Fort Collins, CO is hiring an Entry Level Trailer Service Mechanic to perform basic trailer repairs and maintenance including bearings, electric brakes, body work, electrical systems, welding, and DOT inspections. You will diagnose repairs, complete New Trailer PDIs, and accurately record work on RO’s.

Responsibilities include operating shop equipment, maintaining a clean, safe environment, and potentially working additional duties.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Customer service driven.
• Able to move trailers with yard truck.
• Able to follow work instructions and directions from supervisor.
• Valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to pass post-offer physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic trailer repairs and maintenance.
• Bearings pack service.
• Electric brake repairs and maintenance.
• Body work (side panel, trim, etc.).
• Electrical systems repairs and diagnostic.
• Welding.
• DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and provide recommendations on repairs.
• New trailer PDIs (pre-delivery inspections).
• Record description and hours of all work performed on RO’s.
• Operate shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Operate forklift and yard tractor.
