AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Traffic Engineer (Hybrid) based in Middleton, Wisconsin to join our traffic engineering team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct traffic engineering analysis under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic traffic engineering and transportation planning problems.
  • Conduct fieldwork such as traffic counts and site visits.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, maps, websites, or other documentation to support findings and decision‑making.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed‑upon budget and schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers to solve transportation challenges.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineer‑in‑Training certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Relevant co‑op/internship experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects for WisDOT, municipalities, and/or other transportation agencies.
  • Experience with software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, IHSDM or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with the HCM, HSM, WisDOT FDM, and/or WisTransPortal system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
