Job summary

Wright is seeking a Traffic Controller to support Anderson, SC job sites. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, weekly pay, and overtime opportunities, with no prior experience required.

You will coordinate traffic control with construction crews, set up work zones, and ensure safety for workers and pedestrians. The position emphasizes compliance with safety regulations and the Wright safety manual.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug free status.
• Be able to stand for long periods; must lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be physically capable of performing flagging duties.
• Have reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to ATSSA and DOT regulations.
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle at the job site.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site.
• Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with Wright specific policy.
• Ensure that company vehicles are kept clean and orderly and inform management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems.
• Review start time and address of job site or meeting location (if applicable) as established and sent by office scheduler via company app.
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook.
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor.
• Other job duties as assigned.
