Job summary

GDOT seeks an entry level technician to learn installation and maintenance of traffic control devices and related equipment. You will operate and service equipment, including aerial bucket trucks, with duties expanding as you gain certification.

Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to obtain a CDL. You may be scheduled for on-call rotations following training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn to install, maintain, and repair traffic control devices and related equipment.
• Operate and perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as derrick trucks and aerial bucket trucks.
• Possess or obtain a Class A or Class B CDL and be on-call after hours for signal malfunctions.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate effectively with team members.
