Job summary

Ferguson in Lakeland, FL is hiring an Entry Level Fabrication Associate to join our fabrication shop. You will follow SOPs for thermoplastic pipe fabrication, set up machines, measure and cut pipe, and move stock within the yard.

Work with a safety-minded team, operate powered equipment according to OSHA guidelines, and cross-train in other areas as needed. Prior fabrication experience is welcome but not required; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong math skills for quantities on hand.
• Requires training in use of pipe-cutting/fusion machines.
• Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines.
• Forklift operation training understood.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for thermoplastic pipe fabrication.
• Set up and maintain machines in the fabrication shop.
• Measure, record, and cut pipe accurately.
• Move pipe and assemble orders in the yard.
• Observe safety precautions for fabrication, cutting, stacking, and shipping.
• Cross-train on alternate assignments as needed.
