Job summary

Precision Garage Door Service is hiring a Service Technician Apprentice. You’ll identify and fix garage-door issues on-site, advise customers on repair options, and use our proven sales model to offer services and equipment.

You’ll also manage inventory in your vehicle and work with a supportive team behind you. Compensation features a base pay plus commission, with current technicians earning over $100,000 annually, plus a company vehicle, PTO, vacation, 401(k), and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is a plus and can help you learn fast.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer-facing work.
• Comfort with using tablets and basic computer tools on the job.

Your Duties:

As a Service Technician Apprentice, your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and resolving issues with garage doors and associated equipment on-site.
• Advising customers on repair options and ways to prevent future problems.
• Utilizing our proven model to sell services, repairs, and new equipment.
• Managing inventory and equipment in your provided vehicle.

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and technical skills are a plus but not required.
• Ability to independently lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computers/tablets and hand tools.
