Goodwin seeks a highly qualified entry-level associate to join our Tax practice in New York. The candidate should have a JD or an LLM (Class of 2026 or 2027) and a demonstrated interest in transactional tax matters, including corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

The Tax group collaborates with the corporate practice and handles a broad range of matters across partnerships, real estate, private equity, fund formation, and capital markets transactions.

Qualifications

• Interest in tax law and transactional matters as part of a broad practice.
• Academic credentials of high quality with strong written and analytical abilities.
• Coursework, internships or clerkships in tax, corporate or transactional areas are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in teams on components of transactions.
• Assume increasing responsibility and manage assignments independently over time.
• Develop skills in transactional tax matters within the Tax practice.
