Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our Indianapolis team. You will contribute to design and construction processes from day one, coordinating with drafting staff, clients and other engineers to deliver accurate structural solutions.

The role involves preparing preliminary designs, reviewing codes, attending meetings, and producing calculations and drawings for construction documents, with an emphasis on collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 0-1 years of structural engineering internship or co-op experience.
• Revit experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA or other 3D design packages preferred.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with drafting staff, clients and others outside the project team.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to assure proper design implementation.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil and mechanical engineers.
• Produce structural calculations for construction documents.
• Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines.
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawings, RFIs and coordination with construction teams.
