Schnabel Engineering in Seattle, WA is seeking an Entry-Level (Staff) Engineer to join our geotechnical and hydraulic team. You will develop field and analytical skills, support senior engineers, and contribute to projects across water infrastructure.

Candidates should have a civil engineering degree, AutoCAD Civil3D proficiency, good communication, and willingness to travel for field assignments. This full-time role offers growth, competitive benefits, and an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel, including assignments away from the office.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel.
• Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines.
• Prepare complete plans and specifications to be part of construction documents.
• Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.
• Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure.
• Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
• Collect data and measurements in the field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel.

• Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel, including assignments that may last several months away from the office

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Prior internship or professional work in a related field (i.e.geotechnical engineering, construction, civil engineering, etc.)
• EIT certification

• Mustpossessa validU.S.driver’s license as driving is an essential function of the job
• Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehiclerecordand credit check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

The compensation range for this position is between$62,400to $86,000.Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. Weremaincommitted to providing competitive andequitablecompensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
