Job summary

EnovaPremier LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on development across IT initiatives. The role involves supporting and leading major software projects, guiding architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers while ensuring system reliability and performance.

You will work with cross-functional teams and participate in agile processes, with up to 25% travel and remote work from MI, IN, KY, or AL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years high level technical support, implementation and development experience.
• 3–5 years experience in software development, preferably with Python.
• 3–5 years experience in project management.
• 3–5 years experience in T-SQL development (SQL queries, Stored Procedures, or Views).
• Preferred: MSSQL Database administration.
• Preferred: OPC Servers experience.

Senior Software Engineer

REPORTS TO

IT Production Manager

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s (4-year) degree with a technical major, such as Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE

• Required: 4 - 6 years high level technical support, implementation and development experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing or industrial setting
• Required: 3 - 5 years experience in software development, preferably with Python
• Required: 3 – 5 years experience in project management
• Required: 3 – 5 years experience in T-SQL development, such as SQL queries, Stored Procedures, or SQL Views
• Preferred: Experience installing, maintaining, and administering MSSQL Databases
• Preferred: Experience with equipment integration using OPC Servers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Work with the Engineering and Plant teams to develop applications to meet both customer and internal needs
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing guidance on technical and career development
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Engineering, Production, Production Control, and Quality.

KEY TECHNOLOGIES AND SOFTWARE

• Must be proficient in the following technologies and software platforms
• Ignition by Inductive Automation
• SQL Server, including knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
• OPC, including both OPC-UA and OPC-DA
• BI Analytics with tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, or Cognos
• Familiar with ERP systems, such as CMS, SAP, or QAD

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Responsibilities may require working some evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advance notice. Travel required – up to 25% of the time
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to climb ladders or use lifts to access IT equipment in elevated locations at the plants.
