Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.
• Must pass forklift certification test.

• Ability to read and follow work orders and diagrams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or decorate articles.
• Set up thread, bobbin, and adjust tension and needle.
• Position parts under presser foot and guide along seams.
• Observe stitching and notify supervisor of defects.
• Select sewing supplies according to specifications or materials.
• Read and interpret work orders and drawings.
• Oil and maintain sewing machines.
• Train on multiple styles of sewing machines.
• Lead or assist peers as needed in lead roles.
