ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at K-12 school, college or university campuses. The role involves cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairs.
• Sweep, mop and remove debris from floors in designated areas.
• Regularly empty trash receptacles and maintain recycling.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Notify supervisor of repairs or maintenance needs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Dust desks, chairs, tables, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings and walls.
• Clean interior glass, windows, and mirrors; polish surfaces as needed.
• Move furniture and equipment to access cleaning areas.
