Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron, OH is hiring an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier to be the face of our agency and support our mission of community service. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, operate the cash register and POS, and help price donated goods while keeping the store neat and providing outstanding service daily.

You will also help with reports and cash handling, and enjoy opportunities for career development and good benefits as part of our team.

Qualifications

• Operate a cash register with basic math, computer and typing skills.
• Operate a cash register and count back change.
• Lift up to 30 lbs while assisting customers.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm smile and promote Goodwill Club membership.
• Assist with purchases and operate the POS system accurately.
• Prepare daily reports including donation counts and cash balances.
• Price donated goods and textiles according to quality standards.
• Keep the store clean and organized to a high standard.
