Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Safety Specialist in the Eastern District to support and audit our Site Specific Safety Plans in the field. You will report to the Project Safety Manager and help ensure compliance with contract safety expectations, corporate manuals, and regulatory requirements.

You will verify field execution, assist with corrective actions, and participate in incident investigations while partnering with operations and craft teams daily.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30, 500 and 510 certifications required.
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements.
• Certification as Safety Professional or EMT preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; computer literacy essential.

Responsabilités

• Assist in development, review, updating, and communication of the Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP).
• Collaborate with craft daily to promote buy-in of safety program and ownership by workers.
• Enforce Stop Work responsibilities to ensure adherence to policies and plans.
• Plan and problem-solve with field operations based on leading indicators and upcoming work.
• Provide safety training on policies, OSHA/MSHA, NCCER and site/client requirements.
