Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Oakdale team. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the cash register, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, replenishing stock, and upholding safety and professionalism with customers and colleagues. Part-time position with potential for growth and varied duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and endure walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
