Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Respiratory Therapy Technician training program or related healthcare coursework.
• 0–1 years of experience in respiratory care preferred.
• Experience in respiratory therapy, pulmonary function testing, or oxygen therapy support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed therapists with basic respiratory treatments (oxygen, aerosol therapies).
• Observe and monitor patients during treatments, report observations to supervising staff.
• Clean, maintain, and set up respiratory equipment per safety protocols.
• Record treatments and patient responses in the medical record as directed.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for procedures, ensure stock and functionality.
• Educate patients and families on basic respiratory exercises under supervision.
• Follow departmental policies, safety regulations, and infection prevention protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
