Job summary

Big West Oil North Salt Lake is seeking an entry-level Loader to safely load and unload products from rail cars and perform inspections to ensure safe operations.

The role emphasizes building foundational refinery operations knowledge, with opportunities to advance into other Operations roles through internal processes, safety training, and certifications while maintaining a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position; prior industrial, mechanical, or safety-sensitive work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload hot oil rail cars following procedures and safety requirements, documenting volumes.
• Inspect work area, equipment, loading arms, hoses, valves and connections before/during/after operations.
• Comply with rail safety, hazmat, environmental, plant policy, SOP, permit, lockout/tagout and other refinery safety requirements.
• Build knowledge of operating areas, equipment purpose, process flow, operations conditions, and basic troubleshooting.
