Job summary

Framatome is seeking an Entry Level Reactor Services Technician to support Refuel Projects in the Outage Services Organization. Location: Lynchburg, VA. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain tooling at customer sites and perform field tasks with accuracy in high-stress environments.

You must be ready to travel to remote job sites, obtain unescorted nuclear access, and comply with safety regulations. This role offers growth in nuclear outage services and hands-on training.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of tooling and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at customer sites.
  • Conducts routine field tasks including operating specialized equipment, taking measurements, compiling data with accuracy.
  • Maintains maintenance logs and certification documentation.
  • Complies with safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.
  • Works flexible hours and shifts to ensure timely service.
  • Requires travel to a variety of remote job sites.
  • Requires unescorted nuclear access (background check, psychological exam, drug screen).

What You'll Do Day-To-Day

As a Reactor Services Technician you will be a part of a growing Resource Development and Training Team that supplies resources to support BWR and PWR Refuel Projects in the Outage Services Organization.

  • Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at customer sites (may include equipment associated with refueling and inspecting and maintaining nuclear reactors and components).
  • Conducts a variety of routine field tasks including, but not limited to operating specialized equipment, taking measurements, compiling data, and performing without error in high stress environments.
  • Maintains maintenance logs and certification documentation.
  • Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.
  • Works flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service.
  • Requires travel to a variety of remote job sites.
  • Requires unescorted nuclear access (includes background check, psychological exam, and drug screen).

  • Salary: Minimum salary of $21.50 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
