Job summary

Garney is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project management team in Charleston, SC. The role focuses on organizing, coordinating, and tracking project tasks to keep work on schedule. Ideal for someone early in their PM career who is detail-oriented and willing to relocate as needed.

The candidate will assist with material procurement, document control, and communication with owners, architects, and engineers, while contributing to submittals, RFIs, and project setup/closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Willing to travel as required to ensure project success.
• Entry-level project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team with negotiating and purchasing materials.
• Maintain project documents and act as a point of contact with owners, architects, and engineers.
• Create Submittals and RFIs.
• Coordinate projects from start to finish.
• Assist with estimating.
• Set up and close out projects.
• Support field operations and maintain detailed job costs.
• Work professionally with owners and engineers.
• Assist in scheduling projects and crews.
