Job summary

Forgen is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer I to support both office and field operations in Baton Rouge, LA, with travel to Texas sites as needed. You will assist with project planning, coordination, documentation, and execution, applying soils mechanics, hydraulics, and surveying principles while aligning with budget, schedule, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in construction or engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of project cost estimates, proposals, and material take-offs.
• Prepare project submittals and maintain project record documents.
• Review contract plans and specs; ensure quality control per contract and company policies.
• Prepare daily construction reports and progress tracking.
• Assist Project Manager with daily cost reporting and subcontractor management.
• Travel to project sites for extended durations as needed.
