Job summary

Perini Management Services, Inc. in Framingham, MA is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our office. The compensation range is $60,000 to $85,000 per year.

You will assist with planning and coordination across construction phases, and interface with the Designer of Record. Travel and U.S. government security clearance may be required; internship experience and strong communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar.
• 0+ years of engineering or construction experience.
• Relevant internship experience preferred.
• Willing to travel and relocate to project sites within the US and internationally.
• Ability to obtain an Employer-Sponsored U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and/or Procore a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.

• Develop, implement, and administrate project engineering procedures and documents.
• Represent company, project and/or department during meetings with A/E, client, and project management.

Description

• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
• Assist with planning and coordination in all phases of construction, including pre-Construction (including design phase for design/build projects), Construction, and Closeout.
• Coordinate with and assist in the management of the project Designer of Record during the design phase of our design/build projects, including draft design document review prior to submission to the client.
• Provide technical support for construction efforts including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, review of product data submittals, assist with LEED certification process.
• Develop, implement, and administrate project engineering procedures and other work-controlling documents.
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar degree from an accredited institution.
• 0+ years of engineering or construction experience.
• No post graduate work experience required.
• Relevant internship experience preferred.
• Interest in learning and developing essential skills to build a career in construction management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and/or Procore a plus.
• Training will be provided to assist in the growth of this position.
• Willing to travel and relocate to project jobsite locations within the US and/or Internationally.
• Ability to obtain an Employer-Sponsored U.S. Government Security Clearance.
